1000$ per ticket? 32000$ for the final?? i really don't know anybody who could afford this. and in complete disregard of the other reports about outrageous travel expenses for tourists in the us, the hotel owners complain about a lack of bookings for the event. with only one tiny hint at the reason for the basic bad vibe regarding the world cup in the us:

no visitor can be certain to enter the us when arriving at the airport. they could be let in, they also could be sent back. or they could be put into alligator alcatraz. even if i had that kind of money to spend i wouldn't prepare for such a journey, buy tickets, get reservations for hotels if there was the real possibility i could end up in an us-american concentration camp when trying to visit the games.
