oh no, not again! i just got the second new bluetooth keyboard that is not working with my sailfish os phone, xperia 10iii. both of my old keyboards that were working normally as bluetooth keyboards are broken and i need a new one. and both new ones i bought can be paired with my phone but they are not recognized as keyboards. using them with android devices is no problem at all: they show up as keyboards on the device list and can be used as intended.
just not with my sailfish os phone. i have no idea what's missing there and so don't know if i just need a special keyboard or have to tweak some configs somewhere. the old keyboards were just normal foldable keyboards off the amazon shelves, nothing special about them; except that they were working, and the new ones are not.
i really hate it when such standard problems (keyboard broken, get a new one) suddenly turn out to become so annoying.
so if someone here from the fediverse hive mind has ideas or hints for solving this problem of mine i'd be very grateful to hear them!
