Current status of my
image description/alt-text wiki here on Hubzilla
: 17 pages with another 20 planned, backed by
almost 50 webpages and blog posts with alt-text and image description guidelines
.
In case you're wondering: What most of these webpages and blog posts try to do on one page, I build an entire wiki with dozens of pages about. The goal is to one day have an ideally all-encompassing source of information on how to describe images and write alt-texts for the Fediverse. This is already (and still) the only such guide that touches the Fediverse outside of Mastodon.
Sole exception: I won't walk you through Fediverse Web interfaces or mobile apps step by step and explain how to add alt-text to an image.
