a friend of mine wanted to delete a superfluous and has accidentally delete the account in question instead. Well, that certainly did the trick - but his main channel has gone, too :-)
Is there any way to recover the account and his channel, including the associated data? What I can work with:
- I have got database backups, one 2 hours before the event. It would be piece of cake importing the database snapshot into a different mysql and do some db magic / export the data in question
- I also have backups of /store (so the files are safe, too)
Any idea if it's possible to do the reovery? I mean recovering the account data wouldn't be enough, would it? How about the channel data, connections, etc.?
I had one idea but this might be very dangerous if not done properly: Setup a temporary, disconnected hubzilla instance with the restored database so he would be able to expoirt the channel.. but this could be tricky if done wrong, because there would exist two instances of the hub, one with old data, one with current data, this could cause havoc...
