Hi, I've tried to create a calender event but I was unable to change the start/end date: Initially it's set to something like
Mon, 15 Jul 2019 00:00:00 GMT and Tue, 16 Jul 2019 00:00:00 GMT (end). When I try changing it to - say, ]Mon, 15 Jul 2019 11:20:00 CEST (or for that matter: Mon, 15 Jul 2019 09:20:00 GMT the changes are ignored, nor error is display, the event is still a day long one. The only result I get is getting my channel spammed with entries concering the event (I guess I had more than 15 or so, luckily they were visible only to me).

I know that it used to work fine in the past - has anyone else encountered similar problems?

There are some fixes to the calendar in recent which were not yet included in the last release iirc. You should probably pull those first.

Anyway, in the month view it is only possible to create allday events. To create a date with start and end time it is probably best to open the day or week view (by clicking the day or week number) and drag/drop the event to your needs.

@Mario Vavti Thanks, this works (different view). But this is rather counter intuitive - on every other calendar application you can setup a start/end date, whatever the view. In this case it would be good UI practise to disable the fields and tell the user to change view, or - better yet - allow the user to change start/end date whatever view

IIRC the fields are hidden in recent master when in month view.

Also the time zones are wrong. It shows GMT as the time zone same as New York time zone, but GMT is actually 4 hours ahead.

The event is displaying as 7pm local time, my time zone is set to New York, but when I edit the event, it shows "Wed, 17 Jul 2019 19:00:00 GMT" which it should be 23:00 GMT or 23:00 UTC. GMT is not exactly UTC but for this case it is.

The correct time should be 19:00 EDT = 23:00 UTC.

We do not use the tinezone info from the time field and probably should not display it there.

The channel timezone is used by default. If you wish, in the calendar settings a per event timezone selector can be enabled.

I have just pushed some fixes to dev so we can now use different valid date/time formats. Default is Thu, 11 Jul 2019 10:00:00 but also 2019-07-11 10:00:00 will be accepted.

This will need some testing before it will be pushed to master.
