Since yesterday or so I'm getting an increased number of registrations - legitimate ones, no problem, yet much more than usual - so I'm wondering if Hubzilla has been in the media, which would explain it..

I see a huge spike in spam registrations on a hub not very popular.

Wouldn't call them spam registration - most of them seem to be legitimate, creating channels, using reputable mail providers (like posteo or their private domains). Some of them haven't confirmed their mail addresses (which isn't that unusual, either - this could be spam accounts). Nevertheless most of the registrations are perfectly fine, I'm just curious why there's such increase of registrations :-)
