(Based on the extended version of the Mother Ignoring Kid Drowning In A Pool #meme. To all you Mastodon users: There's an image at the end of this post. It's supposed to be at the top, above this paragraph. Check the original post.)As curvy bodies stolen from #
SecondLife are becoming the new gold standard for female mesh bodies on the #
Hypergrid, this will not only hurt the former gold standard Athena, itself a copybotted 2014 Maitreya Lara. #
Ruth2 v4, the newest legal mesh body made in and for #
OpenSim, will be ignored and shunned even more than it is already now.
It will also be harder for female avatars to justify wearing a Ruth2 v4. Some people believe already now that you have a Ruth2 v4 because you haven't heard of Athena for whichever reason, and they also believe you're too stupid to adjust a shape correctly if the sexiness of your Ruth2-based avatar isn't maxed out. Now that Kupra, Legacy and eBody Reborn are displacing Athena, Ruth2 v4 is even harder to justify because you also have to explain why you refuse to have a curvy body with squishy thighs.
I actually even expect the first users to redefine "grown-up woman" this year. Right now, not only all female avatars under 1.60m, sometimes even under 1.70m, count as kids, but some sim owners also define Athena Petite as underage. When curvy becomes standard, Athena Petite will be seen as 11 years old tops, and regular Athena and all bodies from the Ruth2 family will be filed under "underage" along with it because even LuvMyBod won't be voluptuous enough to count as a grown-up anymore.
By the end of the year, it'll be dangerous to have a legal female mesh avatar. If you don't switch to one of the new curvy bodies and replace your entire wardrobe accordingly, chances are you'll count as a paedo ageplayer.
I'm glad I'm a guy. Male avatars don't have to look like they live on nothing but whey, raw chicken, protein shakes and 'roids in order to appear as adults.
