Trigger warning: Metropolis' imminent shutdown

It's July 1st, around noon, and I'm in Metropolis. This shouldn't even be possible.
All that seems to be gone by now is
most of of the perpetual construction site that used to be Metro's website
including the banners that announced the shutdown.
So most estimations when the grid will end were false. Still, I don't know when Metro will shut down, so if you want to pay it one last visit, do it quickly!

Looks like I've found me a "Metro canary", namely
the OSW entry for Les Affamés
, that chaotic art sim. It's still listed under Metro's old domain name, hypergrid.org, but the beacon works. As long as it's listed as online, the grid is online. It's actually the only Metro sim still listed, and it's the last sim on Metro with a beacon.
If you want to visit it, remember that Metro's Hypergrid address is hg.metro.land:80.
