Sunday was weird. And I'm not even talking about coming to an afternoon DJ event and being the only woman there wearing a skirt. All the others wore jeans, at least those who were dressed appropriately to walk out of the club again.
Much later, I decided to check out the sims surrounding the ocean surrounding Lbsa Plaza. Not only are they accessible to the public, but there's actually a boardwalk along the Lbsa Moat as the 5x5-region ocean is called. As I was already there, I decided to wander along the whole boardwalk.
On the other side of the moat, I had to not only pass an active and erupting volcano but also jump a small lava stream. I had to take my beloved loden costume to the dry-cleaner to get rid of the stench of smoke and sulphur. At least it stayed undamaged.
And I also found that there was no boardwalk on four of the last five sims. Actually, getting off the boardwalk where it ended without falling into the water was difficult. But I made it.
Maybe I'll come back and do what others had already done, namely
jog the whole boardwalk.
Finally, I paid Lbsa Plaza a visit. The lion's den, some say. It wasn't bad, though.
A guy chatted me up because he was looking for a good-looking female avatar. He talked
me up instead of one of the many Athenas aiming for maximum sexiness. It was one thing that he implied I was looking good. It was another that he believed that what I wore was a complete avatar available somewhere in a box, body, skin, shape, hair, clothes and all.
So I had to explain to him that I had pieced my looks together from several sources. I could tell him where to get my body and my skin and gave him a landmark. But I also told him that my shape is not a ready-made out-of-the-box shape but the results of hours of adjustment and repeated fine-tuning, and I don't want to share it with anyone. He got that and immediately left to shop some bodies, accessories, skins etc. before I could check and tell him what kinds of hair are available at Lbsa Plaza itself. Hint: It's Linda Kellie hair.
I myself didn't stay much longer. It was way past midnight, and I wasn't too keen on leading that guy around OSgrid and half the Hypergrid on a quest for what made me look the way I did that night, also because the nylon tights I wore that night were no-transfer, as are my eyes.
