I want to know at least roughly what a sim looks like before I go there, thank you very much!

Okay, here's a #
PetPeeve: Sims of which I don't know at all what they look like until I go there because they aren't presented with pictures on
OpenSimWorld or elsewhere. It's especially event locations that show several gajillion dozen event announcement posters, but not one single pic of the location itself.
Apparently, there are people who can neither take in-world pictures with their viewer because they don't know how to do that nor take screenshots because they don't know how to do that with their OS, and they don't know anything about installing a screenshot app either. Or they can take these pictures, but they know nothing about the directory structure on their machine, so they can't find the pictures unless they end up on the desktop. Or they're simply lazy.
One of the reasons why this irks me is because I like to dress for the location and the occasion. So I want to go to a party, but I don't know what the party location looks like because it doesn't give away any information on that. I dress up nicely for the party, and then I teleport to the sim where it happens... just to find myself at some rowdy punk joint. Or on a tropical beach, and most other people are in swimwear.
Maybe the location even turns out to be a
nude beach, but it isn't advertised as such either because the sim owner couldn't be bothered, and the sim is rated General on OpenSimWorld (but Adult in-world). In this case, I would have gone in the nude.
Or it's a winter/Christmas-themed sim, and the party turns out to be outside in the snow. And there I am in a rather thin blazer and shoes with leather soles.
Or the other way around, it's a winter/Christmas-themed sim, I expect some outdoor fun, I dress in winter clothes down to a woollen hat and mitts, and the actual party takes place inside some well-heated building.
Or I come as I am (which I rarely do), just to find myself in front of a
ballroom.
One more reason to check out event locations before the event. That is, if the sim is larger and/or more complex, I still have to know where exactly the event takes place. Changing the sim's landing coordinations to right next to the dancefloor ("for everyone's convenience") ten minutes before the party instead of announcing where the party will be doesn't help, especially not if the party will take place on some sky platform that normally isn't even accessible unless you have a landmark.
