Sure, they kick out the one that the world has serious problems with. So they can put someone in his place who behaves much more like LePen: same fascist ideas, but much less vocal and wiser in his/her choice of words.
That's why LePen kicked her own dad out of the party: he made it too obvious that they were a fascist party, people might not vote for them because of that.
So AfD does the same now, trying to put their mask back on, but let's not forget: AfD is basically NSDAP 2.0.
