I love that players make them. (My whole “Nuts & Bolts” series is to help them.) I unfortunately am not allowed to look at them as they are unsolicited design.

I’m guessing that the new Ragavan is different so that the two tokens don’t legend rule each other. This way you can run Kari Zev, Skyship Raider in your Baral and Kari Zev deck.

in regards to creature tokens, i would appreciate it if y'all put serious effort into reusing existing tokens instead of making new ones. imo the new ragavan token and the old ragavan token could have been the same token.

Green has access to both. Designers can use whichever effect they need on a card-by-card/set-by-set basis.

Lorwyn
was Aaron Forsythe’s first large set lead design. He tried for most of the design to get a treasure mechanic in the set. It ended up becoming hideaway.

I think it started out as a “fixed” Ancestral Recall, but it has also proven to be a little too strong and is banned/restricted in certain formats.

Hi Mark Is there any chance that modified becomes evergreen, or deciduous? It seems relatively intuitive and helps so much with tying themes together that turn up in almost all sets.

Once we make a mechanic, I like to see how many sets want to use it. If it proves useful enough in enough sets, that’s when we look to make it deciduous.

writing in to thank you guys for the all-star draft format that is MOM. it’s just synergies on top of synergies on top of synergies; solid color fixing enables some really cool tricolor piles and the legends bonus sheet really encourages you to draft outside of the penciled-in two-color archetypes that typically dominate draft. it feels like cube, which is the highest compliment i think a draft format can get!! i love the whole thing and hope future sets follow its example :)
