really is Fediverse clichés in a nutshell.
The start poster
literally
states that the Fediverse and Mastodon are the exact same thing. He has been on Mastodon for two years, since immediately after Musk has bought Twitter out.
Another Mastodon user applauds.
A Friendica user reply-guys the start poster and Fedisplains that the Fediverse is, in fact, not only Mastodon.
I was tempted to jump in myself and correct that guy about the Fediverse allegedly only being Mastodon. But this has been taken care of.

Part of the problem is the way Mastodon displays profiles. Unless they click through and actually go to the profile on your server, they would never know you are not on Mastodon.
