nicht alles ist genial, aber sehr vieles. neuere sachen kenne ich leider nicht. da habe ich immer auf konzerte gewartet, die ich entweder verpasste oder die bis jetzt nicht in der gegend von berlin stattfanden ...

Renaud Garcia-Fons ist absolut einmalig mit seiner Art den Kontrabass zu spielen.
Ich kannte ihn schon, wusste im Prinzip was er macht, habe mich aber nie bewusst mit ihm befasst. Dank Deines Beitrags, @Alexander Goeres, werde ich mir jetzt mal das Album kaufen.

als ich den früher zum ersten mal gehört habe im radio, habe ich nicht geglaubt, dass das nur ein typ ist. seine studio-aufnahmen sind durchwachsen, seine live-auftritte finde ich genial

There are audience recordings at YT. When I heard this rendition I was floored. My jaw dropped deeper than his bass. I cannot ubderstand why there is still no official release. Goldie always saw hinself on the verge of dance and modern composition, his album Saturnz Return quotes Gorecki's Symphony No 3 in a magnificent way. At the time the pop critics said that album was weaker, too forced. I said, they just don't understand.
And now this. I say, both versions are outstanding. But I looove the electronic esthetic. It's more to the point, the sounds are fuller and it cuts deeper. It has got some sonic elements an orchestra just cannot replicate.

den konzertsaal würde ich wirklich gerne mal sehen. aber ich habe es noch nicht geschafft, dort rein zu kommen, alle karten waren immer weg.

Im Boulez-Saal sollen keine Reihen freigelassen werden

Wer in der kommenden Saison ein Konzert im Pierre-Boulez-Saal besuchen will, muss während der Aufführung Maske tragen. Dafür sollen nach rbb-Informationen prozentual deutlich mehr Besucher zugelassen werden als beispielsweise in der Philharmonie.

i just ran into this. bandcamp starts to become dangerous for me. too much distraction too many possibilities to spend money for good musik. two euros here, ten euros there. this adds up after some time.

but there is really great music there ...

I stopped counting. And worrying, at least I try to. If I'm lucky it'll hit me.
What keeps bugging me are earworms I cannot get rid of. Long ago I had Madonna's "La Is La Bonita" playing in my head each time I went up the staircase to my then workplace. Cannot even think of the song now without making that connection. No idea where that came from.
