several days ago i saw a short article (i forgot where that was) that had a joking headline "khamenei puzzeled that he is the only dictator trump doesn't like" or something like that.
it turns out that the joke , though funny. is wrong. trump likes khamenei a lot! he loves him so much that he hands him a possibility to oppress iranian protesters much fiercer than before. he handed him the rally-behind-the-flag reason so now absolutely nobody in iran can show support for the protesters anymore ...
Since mid-November the government has been under great pressure because of the death and imprisonment of a large number of protesters. Trump’s military moves have ensured that any new protest or criticism will be treated as a national security issue and harshly suppressed.
