those racial purists like the folks from the german AfD always try to tell everybody that only "the pure race" is of value. they totally disregard the fact that it was only the mix of us humans that made us what we are, for good or for bad. the past is not better even in those places where it might have been purer. as the most famous german philosopher rainald grebe puts it so nicely: "früher gab es noch inzest-dörfer!"
and so it is that certain traits just didn't suddenly appear in a pure race and then were watered down by interbreeding. quite the opposite! certain traits appeared in certain groups of beings and then were handed over to others by mixture of genes.
here a paleolithic example of apes that obviously had mastered the upright walk about 10 million years before the earliest humanoid deigned to show up:
