this description of the principles of a bt-powered tracking app to enable containment of new covid-19 infections after the actual bulge is over sounds quite reasonable. if the resulting apps are open source so that real experts can review them this might be the way to go forward i think

Still my opinion is: If that app is available on f-droid, then I will think about it. I do not have a Google account and I will keep it that way. Being 66 of age and having cancer I am absolutely interested in the fight against that corona virus. But also in my privacy.

sure. if the resultng apps somehow were based upon google-services.as most android apps are (even though they don't strictly need it) and were only available via google store then i'd agree with you. but i heard a lot about making these apps open source, so there is a chance that the developers and their managers might do it right
