all people die. only persons who live, can die. but i'm arriving at an age where old heroes die. and i seriously regret now that in private i ridiculed my parents for getting sad because of elvis' or peter schreier's death.
last week i heard on nighttime radio that lyle mays has died. that made me wake up.
i once tried to listen to one of his solo records and didn't like it much. not as much as i liked his work together with pat metheney. together with metheney he was great. and metheney with him. metheney alone is not as good as he was with mays.
but now mays is dead. this is really sad!
