Anyone know of any tools you can use with macOS or iOS for accessibility alt text? I’ve been using ChatGPT (I’d rather not) and often hit the limit on uploads. Wondering if the latest macOS this fall will have the ability with Siri 🤔 #alttext #accessibility

For starters, AI descriptions are bad. AIs hallucinate. AIs misidentify stuff if they don't know it. AIs don't mention stuff at all if they don't know it.

Besides, AIs can only generate generic image descriptions. They don't know the context. They describe stuff that doesn't matter for anyone. They completely omit stuff that does matter because they don't know that it matters. Only you yourself can individually tailor image descriptions to the context of the post.
