@EUCommission That is good, but the EU should also acknowledge and include co-official regional languages. If a language is co-official in his country, if people has a legal right to speak and be attended in a co-official language, that language should be official in EU too. Otherwise EU will be ignoring native language of EU citizens just because their language is not speak in their whole country despite being legally supported.

@EUCommission I'm Italian, and speak both Italian and English; I love Spanish and would like to learn it but I'm aware that a language needs practice (I learnt French and German when I was a teen but then I lost them, especially German) - my brother in Law speaks French only, and I am very embarrassed when talking.
As for multilingual, I think that having many languages causes barriers. Especially for countries where people haven't learnt. Elderly people grown up when it wasn't perceived as necessary to learn a second language, has caused obstacles. Now most kids, teens, young adults, know at least two languages. But I fear that having one language for each state, may create divisions. Make friends, connect with all people, there are too many conflicts and nationalism around.

@European Commission i learned english at school first, french second, then latin and finally spanish. with spanish i had the misconception that i didn't need to learn vocabulary, since this was all self evident from french and latin and so i wasn't very successful with that.

later i tried to learn polish but didn't put in sufficient effort (and learning polish needs a lot of effort :-)). atm i try to learn esperanto, which is easy enough but of course has words to learn by heart, too. i'm still able to read english and french books (with the help of a dictionary)

i still would like to improve my polish, and then try to learn a non indo-european language like finnish, hungarian, turkish or chinese ...

but there is not enough time for any of this since europe is steering towards climate collapse and the eu-commission is happily aiming toward the 3° target ...

@EUCommission I settled in Luxembourg, which is now my primary language (Luxembourgish) followed by English (language of my education) and German and French, fluently. Then there is Dutch as I lived there a few years. The population here is mostly multilingual, and we are very polite and friendly 😊

@EUCommission Let's be honest! If we are to really integrate, we need to all switch to English. Even your post is mono-lingual except the "hello". The multilingualism is unbearable and impractical. Nobody will learn all EU languages. And learning English as a second language is already difficult enough. English is our only hope for integration.

@EUCommission Czech regime IMO brutally tramples human right to fair trial.As I understand,it considers the fact that one contacts a lawyer,a sign of paranoid delusions and being a dangerous person,and one is IMO abducted based on that into an IMO concentration camp Bohnice,and if you want to defend yourself,you need time and money to get through all court instances which reject you,all the way to the Constitutional Court,which agrees with you:

Time 0:52,remaining time 24:42:"young mother,who was separated from her newborn,based on a report of her partner,and forcedly hospitalized on psychiatry.She was defending herself but lost all courts[…]wrote,that the mother suffers from delusions and is therefore dangerous[…]Constitutional judge Dita Řepková:"The general courts haven't considered that the complaintant was contacting a lawyer at the moment a police and rescue services were acting in her home,they considered it a sign of paranoia nevertheless we believe that one cannot say it was a sign of paranoia if you want to contact legal help,it's not clear to us,and it also doesn't follow from the court's justification." In other words,Constitutional Court said,if you are defending yourself from forced hospitalization by a request for legal help,ie you want to call your lawyer,it definitely doesn't mean you are dangerous,paranoid,that you are suffering rom delusions.
