Here's the thing, if we don't stand up and demand
#AltText from everyone from the start, what we end up with is *nobody* using AltText, and then when it's asked for we're told "but there's never been a demand for AltText before...why're you changing it?"
So we're not changing it. We're demanding it from the beginning, and if you don't use it you're an asshole for not using it because it's the easiest fucking thing in the world to do to make your posts more accessible to just about everyone, and you've known it from the very first time that you posted a picture that other people wanted to share and I know this because we simply will not shut the fuck up about it.
We wouldn't bother to tell you if you were posting pictures that we don't want to share, don't you get it? We *want* to make you popular. We *want* you to get credit. We *want* you to get the attention that you so very clearly desire to have.
