@Nemethon Future generations will look back at this, shake their heads and wonder why people were so stupid, how they apparently didn't hear all those alarm bells year after year.

You could understand such an irrational choice in very hard times, such as in Germany in the 1930's. But there's no 30% unemployment in America, no hyperinflation and shortage of everything.

Only too many stupid people, unable or unwilling to think about what it means to put control of your country in the hands of an unhinged psychopath.

It is a pretty clear result of American education policy. It was already pretty bad before, but the presidency of George W. Bush ruined it completely.
