Not only is it terrible for people who rely on screen readers, it's also bad for people who like clicking links. Everybody loses.

@Alt Text Hall of Fame And it is bad for those who cannot access alt-text, for example, because they don't have at least one properly working hand (which is often a hard requirement to open alt-text) or because of the environment they deliberately chose (e.g. minimalist window manager that's entirely operated by keyboard + no pointing device + graphical browser).

Photo sources belong into the post text. Full stop. End of discussion.
