Granted, there are #
nudists in #
OpenSim, and there are also people who do strip down in nudist locations where others are already naked.
But on the other hand, there are not exactly few conservative, up-tight, prudish people in #
OpenSim for whom all three ratings taken over from #
SecondLife are G, and Adult only means that no child avatars are allowed. And there have been enough sims with an Adult rating and the limitations of the Second Life Adult rating, but the liberties of the Second Life General rating, that many have started expecting this from
all Adult-rated laces on the #
Hypergrid.
This has gone so far that some take the existence of nudity in OpenSim for not even a rumour. The more surprised they are when they discover that it does, in fact, exist.
I mean, you can put up signs that explicitly state that no clothes are allowed in an area. Many will take them for mere decorational items, walk in wearing their usual street clothes and end up shocked and disgusted as it turns out that people
do actually go naked there. And the sim owners don't do anything because nudity
is actually allowed, because
they have allowed it. Maybe they even encourage it. Or they've made it mandatory, while we're at it.
I myself do take notice of these signs and act accordingly. In fact, allow me to go nude, and I quite likely will as long as it isn't too cold. So much about me being prudish just because I like to wear longer-than-micro skirts and tights with them.
