The Metropolis farewell party is still going on.
Metropolis, one of the three oldest OpenSim grids still running, is scheduled to shut down tonight, and it's technically a German grid, so it should shut down within less than an hour.
Yet,
the party is continuing in both locations, the Metropolis welcome sim and Metro Memoriam on OSgrid.
I would never have thought that the club within the bowels of the Metro welcome tower would ever see a party again. And here I am in this very location, partying with around 30 other avatars. In the meantime, my old Metro self is at Metro Memoriam. When he disappears, more than a dozen avatars may see the death of a grid first-hand.
Unless the party continues into July...
