#OSgrid is down for maintenance. And it looks like it's the asset server again. To be fair, it was awfully slow earlier today.

They haven't announced yet how long this'll take, maybe also because all their announcements became obsolete in no time last time. But I do hope this won't take over a week again, and I hope we won't lose assets again.

OSgrid's asset server should be back up and running by now.

Instead, a hardware failure has occurred at the data centre.

Let's hope that there hasn't been another RAID array going ka-blooey and requiring months upon months of data rescue like back in 2014. But I don't really expect #OSgrid to come back this week.

@jupiter_rowland What I would do, if I had any say in the matter. Save IAR for all of the users that have been online in the past year or two. Wipe the whole thing, and restore the accounts that have been active. I have been at OSgrid almost since they first opened, and have lost my account and inventory several times over the course of the years. It sucks, but it is not the end of the world. They are losing so much of people's stuff anyway because it's unmanageable.
