When I was with the Bundeswehr, I had an experience that clearly showed the difference with weapons, even in the military, between Germany and the USA. During practice shooting, each cartridge is counted, handed over, counted again and receipt is confirmed. After the shooting, the cartridge cases are also checked and handed over back to the superior officer. The US soldiers here, on the other hand, simply filled the bags with ammunition and if they were over after the shooting they simply threw them away. I do not know how others see it, I think the handling of weapons by the German military is better.
