i managed to get the my sd-card working on my Xperia XA2 ultra and was able to store some musik-files on it.
then i ran into another strange problem. the lineage-os-16 music player doesn't find the music files. they are there and when i choose them directly through the file manager the player dutifully starts playing them. but it doesn't show any of them in its collection. the player's collection is empty.
i couldn't find any place where to tell android to look into special directories for media files. or to rescan its filesystem for new files.
my workaroud now is not to use the lineageos music player but vlc instead. but i'd prefer not to install additional programs so as not to clog the system.
i wonder if anybody here in the krauts and crowds knows where to configure the media-storage for lineage os so that the built in play is able to do its job properly?
