The image was taken at a lunar altitude of only 14° above the horizon with correspondingly poor seeing, illumination 94.3 % and close to apogee at a distance of 403,071 km from the Earth. The fact that the moon is far from the earth could be seen immediately in FireCapture, as it usually fills the sensor better. This is an L-RGB image with L through IR pass.
Aristarchus, the brightest crater on the Earth-facing side of the moon, stands out in this phase. Its turquoise-white light is striking, but noticeably attenuated by the IR pass. In the RGB image, Aristachus is significantly brighter than Proclus, in the IR both are more or less equally bright.
