@dynamic What problems do you have installing Gajim?

I'm never used Pidgin, but I heard the XMPP part is pretty outdated. Of course, if it works for you, I won't tell you to use something else :)

I tried to install the Gajim package via the Ubuntu 22.04 database of standard packages, and it did install, but it keeps freezing or crashing. When I first set up my XMPP account, there was some kind of glitching when I tried to submit the information (I unfortunately don't remember details). I may have needed to force quit. After that initial time, I've been able to open the desktop app, and it seems to open, but all I ever see is a list with my XMPP account listed. If I try to interact with it in any way it hangs and/or crashes.
