Hi everyone!

Could you please let me know if there's a plugin or a setting that allows sorting the stream by the time the message was received? Thanks in advance!

First you go the stream settings (the cogwheel icon on the navbar near the left; shortcut: /settings/network) where you activate Alternate Stream Order.

Then you have three ways of ordering your stream:

whole threads by newest comment
whole threads by newest post
Mastodon-style piecemeal, each post and each comment separately

@Fedir Ustynov Please explain what this is supposed to be. In other words, how do you think the stream should be sorted?

With ‘By newest post’ you have a chronological sorting according to the time of the initial postings.

Ah, ok... now I understand. This function of stream sorting is available in (streams): ‘By Date Received’.

It should actually be possible to implement a filter like this in Hubzilla as well.

Why not add ‘feature request’ to the title of your post and explicitly state in the post itself that you would like sorting by ‘time of receipt at own hub’ (with a note that this is available in streams).

I'll tag the lead developer here and ask if such a filter function could be implemented. It would make sense (e.g. if, as you described, the posting is somehow delayed).

@Mario Vavti Feature request:

Is it possible to implement another sorting option in the stream: ‘By time of posting receipt’ (i.e. when the posting was received by the hub)?

So as a thread display and not as an individual post, as implemented in ‘Date unthreaded’.

And someone did fork Friendika before its switch to Friendica and they changed to the AGPL license. It was called Free Friendika, although it didn't go anywhere.

I'm not sure where that goes in the timeline, but Hubzilla cannot be a fork of Friendica because Friendica is AGPL. So Hubzilla must have come from a version before they switched to AGPL most likely while it was still called Friendika.
