I've opined a little bit in someone's mentions about a part of this, but I've been trying to rein it in, mostly, until I got this done.
Planning to put my "thoughts about how other people approach this" with maybe some normative suggestions in here along the way. Not to get too heavy about it and I want to keep it sort of contained.
Here goes.
