Notifications of activity needing moderation?
I recently ran into some weird situations with receiving comments and poll responses to a poll that seems to have gone viral over in Mastodon land. I suspect that at least some of this has to do with me not knowing how Hubzilla moderation tools work, although there might also be cross-platform federation issues.
For now, I'm hoping I can just get an explanation of how comment moderation is meant to work on Hubzilla, and specifically what tools are available for learning that there are comments (and "boosts" and "likes) in need of moderation.
What I noticed is that there were a large number of boosts shown for the post, but that when I clicked to see who had boosted it, boosts from people unknown to me showed up as needing my approval or rejection. I went through and approved them all, and then noticed that something similar had happened with "likes". I don't mind needing to approve these items, but I'd naively assumed that I would receive some notification of the need for taking these actions.
Is there some setting that needs to be configured in order to get notifications of items pending moderation?
Also, what is supposed to happen when there are incoming poll responses from people I don't have existing connections with? If there is a poll moderation tool, I haven't found it.
It's fine if the answer is "you just don't receive those responses", I'd just like clarity on how it's supposed to work.
