Do I love the Middle Earth set as shown so far, but how come the One Ring does just track how many times the ring has tempted you instead of burden counters? It seems more flavorful. Was it to avoid the additional tracking?

Mark please dont print silver bordered card in black border. I get there is an audience for it, but with the fact you guys pretty much have to put in chase lands everytime they come up should indicate the vast majority of people arent interested in doing the hokey pokey on command, or high fiving strangers or any of the other abliest uncards.

Three things:
1) We’re talking about cards that work in the normal rules, so none of your examples apply.
2) We put full-art lands in Un-sets as they are a product of Un-sets.
3) We have made four Un-sets, and a box set. We wouldn’t have done that if there wasn’t a decent sized audience. You are grossly underestimating how many players use Un-cards.

Question about The Ring Tempts You (aka The Ring). Why was The Ring designed such that multiple players can simultaneously possess The Ring and a Ring-Bearer? Feels like a disconnect with the flavor. I feel like I’d have preferred the control of The Ring to change when The Ring Tempts another player.

It’s the same reason I can have a Frodo and you have the same Frodo. It plays significantly better than the rules where only one person can have Frodo.
