I am not at Magicon Minneapolis, what is the reasoning for changing standard to a 3 year rotation? All I know is it is happening and not the thought behind it.

We did try that. It made people not play the mechanic.

Any chance of extended coming back? I do enjoy modern and some pioneer but a larger rotating format was also a lot of fun

It’s used where it helps the set. The current usage reflects about how often it’s useful.

re: multiple people having The Ring, why not make it like Initiative and being the Monarch, where only one person can have it but it could transfer between players somehow?

RE Mario/Lego Universes Beyond: To be honest, I didn’t think a fun little story about my nephew would cause some discourse. There are universes beyond products I have no interest in. For example, Doctor Who and Stranger Things. But I love Transformers, D&D, and Lord of the Rings. I even fell in love with Warhammer 40k because of Universes Beyond. I love MtG but I don’t care for Innistrad, so when we had two Innistrad sets back to back in 2021, I was happy for my friends who love the plane, but I just skipped the set. Then, I was rewarded for my patience with Kamigawa and Baldur’s Gate and bought enough to make up for skipping two sets. At the end of the day, I appreciate that my original comment was acknowledged Mark. My nephew was happy when I told him we got a response. But I never actually entertained the thought that Wotc would make a secret lair or set based on the suggestions of my 5 year old nephew. (Even though I would buy it) I just want magic players to understand that you don’t have to buy every magic product. There will be sets that appeal to you and sets that appeal to others. It’s not the end of the world.
