Could we get ward abilities with two options, where one half is a specific color of mana but the other is generic? (I think this is what the previous QuestionMark meant by including twobrid).

It’s a note we got from some players. It’s not a problem in two-player, but I see how multiplayer can add complication to understanding how they work. The easiest way to remember it is the owner of the spell casts it.

Two-bird mana doesn’t sometimes negate the opponent’s ability to interact with it because of what color they’re playing. It’s something you build your deck around.

Faces are just an important part of conveying personality.

It’s hard for me to imagine a commander draft set without partner, backgrounds, or a similar mechanic. But as has been said those are hard to balance. Do you think it would be a good idea to create a mechanic that let’s you partner them in draft but not constructed? Similar to cards from conspiracy? Or do you think it is best to just keep inventing new versions of partner?

Mark, I love the execution of Battles. They are an elegant and compelling new card type, mechanically speaking. My only complaint is that you (R&D) played too cautiously with them. I appreciate the desire to avoid a new Smuggler’s Copter event, but it’s just sad that the first entirely new card type in what, a decade, seems to be mostly a Limited-only thing.

Question i never asked Im assuming no do to limited. But were legednary team-up cards considered to have 4-color legend team ups? And does the team-up legend cards makes it easier to make 4-color legends?

We didn’t want four-color cards, but the flavor would have helped justify it if we did.
