You said you’re “not sure the rules would align with player intuition” in regards to “target creature with an evasion ability”. Can you elaborate on this? Maybe it’s just because I’m entrenched, but this seems pretty intuitive to meI’ll list a whole bunch of abilities and you list whether or not it’s an evasion ability:
a) banding
b) can only be blocked by creatures of the same color
c) can’t be blocked unless the opponent pays 1
d) creatures you control have flying
e) deathtouch
f) first strike
g) flanking
h) if you have a creature with flying in your graveyard, this creature has flying
i) menace
j) protection from red
k) shadow
l) skulk
m) trample
n) 1: target creature can’t block this turn
o) 1: target creature can’t block this creature this turn
p) 1: this creature can’t be blocked this turn
q) when this creature attacks, it gains flying until end of turn
r) when this creature attacks, chose one - it gains flying until end of turn or it gains vigilance until end of turn
s) when this creature attacks, tap all creatures controlled by opponents
t) when this creature enters the battlefield, target creature gains flying
