The MKM stories were nicely done and very enjoyable. With all the complications with guilds and their leadership, the references to the Guildpact, and the threat of war, I kept thinking the Living Guildpact would make an appearance at some point. Are the events considered just a part of typical guild scheming and politics, and thus not something the Living Guildpact would become involved in, or is Niv just back to being a recluse?

I'm not sure I saw a version of the story where he lived, no. Sometimes little inconsistencies like that happen for a variety of reasons. Magic card art, even story spotlights, are not still frames of the Magic Story.

Not gonna lie, with all the talk of the corruption and terrible things the Guild does, it’s hard to feel like the MKM culprit here is in the wrong. Like they said ‘they deserved it’ as to their motive and like, they’re not really incorrect are they? The guilds are an evil construct, killing them isn’t really a bad thing. The story seems like it’s on the wrong side here.

They’re all phased out, but no, the Blightsteels are having an identity crises cause they’re changed

What is exatly the difference between the Sultai and Silumgar? Both are essentially the same, one just happens to have live snakes and monkeys. It seems quite inconsequential given how radically the other Tarkir factions changed when they lost a color of mana

I think you're minimizing one of the good things about the Sultai, is that they embraced nature (although it's more vicious side) and were in a small way caretakers of nature. The easiest way to think of it is that that Silumgar simply made everything worse. While it was once possible for the poor Sultai to live out their entire lives in their small towns now those towns were paved over and they're all zombies.
