There are a lot of things you can tweak in Nautilus File Manager to make it more pleasurable to use. Although Nautilus is based on the GNOME desktop, it can still be installed and used on KDE and other desktops (along with some essential GNOME components).
Nautilus does have better root action support than Dolphin file manager, although Krusader is often used as an alternative to Dolphin for root actions.
Many of these tweaks though will also work on Dolphin file browser, which also has quite a few extensions that can be installed.
