The regular blood tests don't look at B12, so a lack of this will not be recognised early enough. But mostly vegan people will have an eye on their health and pay for the extra tests. Missing vitamins are therefore more often and faster recognised at vegan people if they do not supplement it before.<br \/><br \/>B12 in meat is mostly from supplements too and not <em>natural<\/em>. But to meet the demand for B12 it is neccessary to eat offal and not just meat. Second point B12 will degenerate on high temperature above 100\u00b0C, so frying will kill it.<br \/><br \/>A lack of B12 and some other vitamins is common at omnivores nowadays.
