Hubzilla can no longer find some AP actors or entire posts

Around the release of some 8.8.x version, Hubzilla started failing at retrieving the identities of some ActivityPub actors. Their posts do show up either as comments in threads or as boosts by someone else, but they show neither a profile image nor a name, both of which are missing.

I've got my doubts that it's because they or their respective instances have blocked my channel or my home hub because it happens with actors from all across the Fediverse.

This can occasionally happen if the actor could not be fetched when the post arrived. Most probably due to the server not being available at that time. We should probably dismiss the post in that case. As a workaround you could try to manually import the posts in question. This should also fetch the actor...

@Mario Vavti If you mean by searching for the post, then it doesn't. It finds the post. It finds the actor. But it does not find the identity of the actor. There's no name, and there's no profile picture.

If I try to access the actor's profile via the white arrow, I'm directly taken to the instance where the actor resides. Normally, I'm taken to an intermediate page on Hubzilla. This page is skipped.

And I don't know any other means of importing posts.

Besides, before the upgrade to which ever 8.8.x version started this, this behaviour did not occur at all.

@Mario Vavti This seems to also fix following WordPress profiles... at least the "catch-all" profile you can set up for a blog. (I was able to follow individual WordPress authors before.)
