Why are some calling themselves #tiktokrefugee on a microblogging service? Wouldn't @loops make more sense as an TikTok alternative?

@gelbphoenix @loops Alongside being forced out of TikTok and creeped out by the backend changes, they have also decided to swear off Facebook/Meta because our American politicians all bought stock in it after banning TikTok… their main competitor… so we need an alt to Facebook and ideally Twitter because Musk is a megalomaniacal class A shitbag.
