Did you know that the first four letters of Alternate Metaverse are an anagram of teal?

I'm not even surprised, to be honest. It's kind of fitting.

It was a crazy and busy day today.
I hadn't been able to get to Jupiter's house since after the weekly Friday event for some reason. I had slept elsewhere on the grid, but I had no clothes to change with me.
Today, on Sunday, I refused to put the black bathing-suit and the pair of tights back on. I still had the grey hippie coat and the pair of over-knee boots with me. I put these on, grabbed the rest of Friday's outfit and tried to get back home to Jupiter, just to discover I couldn't. To make matters worse, it's impossible to close that coat.
For some reason, I thought it'd be a great idea to go to the beach in the Westend, put the bathing-suit on, take a dip, wash the smell out this way and let it dry so I've got something to wear that wouldn't smell like me that much. Not only was that a stupid idea because the bathing-suit would smell like sea water instead, but these bathing-suits take quite a while to dry. They're made of somewhat thicker fabric and can double as gym leotards. Also, now I was wet and without a towel.
So I rubbed myself halfway dry with the coat, put the coat and the boots back on and went to Dorenas World, the old welcome sim, where there's a laundromat on the edge of the small Arcadia Asylum ghetto. It wasn't after I had thrown the bathing-suit and the tights into one of the washing-machines that I came up with the idea to find a phone and call Jupiter.
I found one in the nearby cheap apartment house. It took a while until Jupi picked up. I told him what was up, and I asked him to pack a bag with what I wanted to wear today and bring it to me and then take care of my clothes in the washing-machine. I hope he was smarter than I was this morning and didn't throw them into the public dry-tumbler afterwards. Jupiter told me he'd meet me at the laundromat.
He eventually showed up and gave me the bag, and I gave him my boots and my bunny accessories from Friday and left for the main station. I didn't put the clothes on yet, though. I hadn't been smart enough to go to the GridTalk beach where there's a public shower, so I hadn't showered since Friday. I simply didn't feel in a state to put on any fresh clothes. So I left for Alternate Metaverse with only my coat on and my fresh clothes in a beach bag.
My first stopover was Illusions. It's Adult-rated, it gives me the impression that nudity is actually allowed there, and it was fairly warm. So I took the coat off and stuffed it into the beach bag. One of the next steps was to find a shower, and there occasionally was one on some of the beaches. Let's just say I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to have, um, some fun with a spontaneous acquaintance which made me need a shower even more.
Eventually, nicely satisfied and clean, I rode the jetski to the local airport. Nearby, I put on my outfit for the day, including make-up and nail polish which Jupiter had fortunately remembered to add to my bag. If you want to wear a bunny outfit for Easter, go all the way. And I was ready for the last day of the Easter egg hunt.

And the Easter egg hunt started. My first hunting-ground was AMV Welcome with five eggs. That got me used to how the eggs are hidden.
AMV Annex had another five eggs, but it's so open that it's hard to hide anything there.
At AMV Town Hall, I found the first three eggs before I even found the sign. The golden egg had a funny placement: Cataplexia Numbers, one of the grid owners, was offline all day and had left her desk to said golden egg.
Meow was hard, for Meow is one of the major freebie sims in AMV. To the north of the sign stands a freebie store with clothes, furniture, wedding decoration etc. To the south of the sign, there's a lot of landscape decoration that's every bit as colourful as the eggs we're supposed to find. In fact, I had expected to find my first teal egg earlier.
It was also here that I discovered that there were two easter egg hunts going on on the same grid at the same time.
By Numbers is fairly easy again if you've learned to think outside the box. It was there where I took the pictures shown in the opening post.
The AMV Freebies Mall is a challenge for the patient. It's a two-floor, square freebie mall with dozens of shops and
entirely
within the 75-metre radius around the sign, so the eggs could be anywhere in any shop. On top of that, Cat must have decided some day to remove the stairs to the upper level, so you have to fly or teleport, and not all teleporters are working.
Also, no matter which body you have, even if it's a #
Ruth2
or the plain old system body, you may end up spending time actually shopping here, although all boxes with classic avatar content are unfortunately broken. Good advice, by the way: After shopping here, go to the AMV Sandbox to unpack the boxes. Single items should be rezzed and copied again to be safe. If you prefer to wear AOs as attachments rather than running them in your viewer, there are two boxes with AOs converted to #
KHAOS
.
The Occasions Mall was bordering on a speed run, even though it had lots of shops nearby, including an Easter-themed one. I found all eggs except the golden one within a minute and all of them within some two minutes.
The Old World Mall was another mall egg hunt, but a bit more difficult again. After that, I checked some third-party sims.

Tranquility was a double hunt. One part was behind the sim owner's house with only four eggs, some of which were rather well-hidden. The other part was at a chapel. Normally, Tranquility would come first. Good thing I postponed it, otherwise I would have burst into a service, wearing what amounts to a bunny outfit. After hunting down the eggs there, I had a break and a double mocha latte at the club further north.
Wicked Waves, well, I passed. First, it was densely decorated with all kinds of Easter stuff. Next, there was a beach nearby that begged me to take a dip. I couldn't. I only had one bathing-suit with me, I already wore it, it was part of my bunny outfit, and I had nothing to change. Finally, it turned out the egg hunt on this sim required group membership. Well, the content of these eggs wasn't important enough for me to join a group only for that.
So I was back to official sims. AMV Events should have been easy, I don't know what took me so long to find the fifth egg. I couldn't help but take a few more pictures with the ArtSpeak Café with its partly teal façade behind me.
Indigo has the eggs all in a fairly small radius, but the way it's built, i was easier to find the eggs if you had been to other sims before.
Magic was very difficult, especially because the whole sim was built with a mindset radically different from mine. It's one of those sims in AMV whose builders seem to always hover at least 30 metres above the ground. If you do that all the time, you get used to it to the point where you take it for eye level and resize everything accordingly. I mean, I guess most people in OpenSim take the old default rear camera position for eye level and thus don't notice how almost everything in-world is oversized. At Magic, however, I felt like Gulliver in Brobdingnag. Behind me was a flight of stairs which were so high that they could only be taken, pardon the pun, in flight. Each step would have been at my eye level, hadn't I worn medium-heeled boots.
Before me lay a sea of gigantic glowing flowers, mostly growing out of a mesh ground which hovered above the actual ground. You wouldn't notice that from 30 metres above the ground. Besides, since the ground and the flowers were combined to linksets, the ground was phantom, and I could walk right through it. Finding eggs in there was next to impossible. It didn't help that it was dark.
Beyond that, there were plants whose blooms looked a lot like Easter eggs. They were more than 75 metres away from the sign, but so was the majority of the eggs. Well, from 30 metres high, it probably felt like roughly 75 metres to someone who's only familiar with the Imperial system.
The assumption under which the sim was built was that nobody ever walks in OpenSim if they can also teleport or fly. I only found one egg by camming, and I failed to find one altogether. Not even the area search couldn't pick it up.
I had been egg-hunting for a few hours. The double mocha latte wanted back out, I needed to pee. If you wear a one-piece bathing-suit over tights like a leotard, you have to slip out of it to pee. The sim was Adult-rated anyway, and I was alone, so I stripped down naked except for my bunny ears, peed and decided to explore the sim while naked, also to air my bathing-suit which I had had on since before noon. I guess you understand why I won't show you pictures of this "outfit" of mine.
Eventually, I put a fresh pair of black tights on, pinned a black tail on my bathing-suit before putting it back on as well and also donned a pair of teal pumps and a pair of long black gloves.
I went back to AMV Welcome to check the events list; I remembered an egg hunt scheduled at Immersion. I went there, found myself alone and saw my frame rate drop dramatically from probably over a hundred spinning eggs with high-resolution textures. One of them was implied to contain textures. I decided it wasn't worth it and returned to AMV Welcome once again.
The last two Easter eggs I picked up were in Paris at Creative Landform where I also did another photo shooting with my changed outfit.
First, I looked for parties where I could go in this outfit. But Jupi had said that Stark would have a disco evening. That sounded good, and I wanted to get rid of that bathing-suit anyway. So I went home, slipped out of my clothes and bunny accessories and removed my make-up and nail polish until I was all
au naturel
. From there, I left for Stark; Jupi arrived a little later. Again, no pictures for obvious reasons.
