Is there an option to suppress posts containing polls?
Thank you in advance.

Perhaps you could try the option to block/hide posts from your 'connection' that includes the word "poll"?

I've tried this on channel and on individual user content filters.
This only works, when the word "poll "or the tag "#
poll"
are explicitly found in the message text.
There isn't a native _type_ for poll in activity.pub, however a reliable option would identify polls in Hubzilla in the same way, that Hubzilla uses to display them within a post.

It might be worth looking at the source codes of
Hubzilla posts with polls
Mastodon toots with polls
Then you could put common elements into filter lines.
Mastodon boosts can be filtered the same way by going for the source code.
