And another question: Say I want to watch, comment and share videos from #Peertube (and nothing else like microblogging). Where should I create an account, which platform/software has @peertube in mind? It's not Peertube itself, right? Because that's for publishing...

Well you can create an account everywhere else. That's how fediverse works.
When you don't want to create it yourself you can be everywhere...

In fact you should be able to just use the one you've used to make this post I'm replying to right now.

@peertube is already federated into the Fediverse. You could simply use your already existing account to watch, share and comment videos uploaded to an Peertube instance.

It could be that I maybe don't understand the question correctly, @mho.

@mho @peertube you can create an account on a peertube instance, you are not obliged to publish videos, just like on youtube you can have an account just for commenting, reaction etc..

@Martin Holland In theory, I guess Friendica, Hubzilla, (streams) and Forte can render just about everything thrown at them. After all, Mastodon's behaviour indicates that PeerTube sends Article-type objects, just like Friendica, (streams) and Forte can optionally do (only the options are somewhat different).

I can't say from personal experience whether this works or not, although I do recall Hubzilla having had some issues with PeerTube videos in the past. Until right now, I didn't have a single PeerTube channel connected. And now that I've connected to one, I have to wait until new videos come out to be able to say how well Hubzilla and (streams) handle PeerTube videos now.
