Hmm... This puts me in an awkward position. On one hand I'm a great Tolkien fan and I'm curious for what they will make of it (why didn't they do the Silmarillion btw?), but on the other hand I see Amazon as Melkor himself.

True. On the other hand, you can't always limit yourself to things that screwed up by others. We are not to blame for what Amazon does. The fault lies with Jeff Bezos. I avoid Amazon as much as possible, but I don't think about suffering for it just because he is an asshole. If the Lord of the Rings series is good I watch it.
