Random thoughts
"The magic in this scenario comes from the fact that Roberto never logged in to Jaquelina's website. Instead, he had to login only once using his password on his own website at roberto.net. When Roberto visits jaquelina.org, her hub seamlessly authenticates him by remotely querying his server in the background. "

random thoughts and almost notes to myself - I may be grossly wrong and if others share their thoughts in forum spirit, it would be great - I think the above paradigm is being changed by nostr with no websites to deal with at all - I just have my pub & priv key (name/password) and use a client to get texts or pics from persons I want - no one is tied to any website. Personally I like the web to web, and not "appified" as it is now rather slavishly by millions, and nostr somewhat does not fit my ideals - but maybe like in scenarios like whatsapp/signal or an email client - websites do not matter, it is just the number or id (my key or whatever like my phone number) and numbers of persons interesting in my phone book. Some questions though : where is the pub/priv key stored? in some central server? the clients? where? is nostr an island or it "federates" well with others? Is it one more / yet another protocol in the list of 15 or so fediverse protocols or something different with smell of bitcoin (though different technology) ... If Streams have auto-clone (list of servers to choose) will it be equivalent to relays in nostr? How does Zot and Nomad and Nostr differ in bullet points for the granny-next-door?
