I'm thinking about to close this account and use again friendica instead. It's not a descision yet - but I slowly start to use friendica again. Both... friendica and hubzilla... are quite special and have problems that make it hard to use them in my everyday-life. The thing, why I use them is the connection to diaspora. I think if i didn't have diaspora contacts, i would have stopped using them already :-/

Oh... I'm sorry for expressing it this way. I tried to say that I'm frustrated because of the software. There is socialhome, there's friendica and hubzilla. Each has got support for AP and D*, which is good, but none of these fits my needs and there's nothing else I could use. And last but not least the lack of AP support in D*.... but I don't want to discuss technical pros/cons of implementing AP or not. For people like me this situation is just frustrating.

Don't worry, I didn't mean it that way. I know about your issues with all the different social networking software, esp. with their interop problems with Diaspora*.

It's just that like you, I am not really inclined to use one of the other alternatives, ultimately reproducing what is the biggest short-fall of the commercial networks: Being a walled garden.
