I thought I'd check in on the
LightZone Project. I used to use this for photo editing and RAW import a long time ago, but at some point it stopped working for me, and I couldn't figure out why. It was a bummer, because it had some very innovative editing tools. Well, apparently they're still releasing updates; there's now a Github repository, and Debian, Fedora and OpenSUSE packages are available through
OBS.
I just did a quick test; so far it has the best noise reduction of all FOSS editors I've tried, nearly as good as the Wavelet Denoise plugin I'm using for Corel's AfterShot Pro.
