Because stupid people are unable to follow the logic of their own statements, they don't notice what such sentences imply. We know it is not "under control". But if it would be under control, that means you want the virus to spread. You want so many deaths. Because it really was avoidable. So, never say it is under control if it is clearly not. Under your control means, you are fully responsable. ;)
